    i see your point, but this draft wasn't very deep, anybody we got had a slim chance of sticking, at least with this guy, he has a chance to contribute for years to come

    We waste picks all the f'ing time on undersized, too slow, etc. players. There are some guys that I actually don't mind when we take chances on them, and there are a lot of guys that I'm thinking ... WTF?

    This is probably why I don't really care that we spent a 4th on him, esp. when we garnered ourselves an extra fourth next year out of one of the trades for moving down in this round.

    I don't disagree. Just saying it's hard to stomach drafting a kicker that early, especially with this team having so many needs. But for me, I'd rather have the kicker than yet another undersized DE/LB that will never pan out.

    I am really happy with the player. I'm just not sure why they didn't wait until at least the 5th to grab him? But this year a lot of their picks seemed to be reaches so maybe they just wanted to keep the theme going.
